As parents, you’re always faced with difficult choices and often wonder if you’ve made the right ones. We can honestly say that choosing Hednesford Nursery for Ava has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

Since joining in March, Ava has blossomed into such a warm, confident, and positive little girl — and we truly believe that’s thanks to the wonderful teachers and children she’s been surrounded by.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for their incredible support, especially during the more challenging times around Ava’s surgery.

We couldn’t recommend a more caring and nurturing environment for our daughter. Thank you for everything you do!

We are the parents of a 3-year-old girl who has been attending Hednesford Nursery School for the last year.

When we first visited the nursery, we were impressed by how thoughtfully the rooms were arranged — simple, calming, and made mostly from wood and natural or recycled materials.

We’ve seen such wonderful development in our daughter since joining the nursery. She has become much more confident and independent, and, most importantly for us as a bilingual family, she has developed strong language skills.

There are plenty of activities that suit the children’s interests and needs. The garden is a lovely space — large, well looked after, and full of opportunities for the children to explore. They grow vegetables, tidy up leaves, and even cook in the outdoor kitchen.

The staff are professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They keep us informed about our daughter’s progress and always offer support whenever any difficulties arise.

We couldn’t recommend Hednesford Nursery School more highly. It’s been the perfect setting for our family, especially after trying another nursery before finding this one. We absolutely love it.

I just wanted to be able to write my thanks in an email to all staff that have contributed to making Alice’s time at Hednesford Nursery so incredible. You are all amazing individuals, who are incredibly talented in everything you do. I could not have wished for a better setting for Alice to learn, mature and grow in. 

From the staff that meet and greet us every morning with a smile and friendly hug, to those who oversee lunches and have taught our daughter how to eat like a gown up s she says, to those of you who work behind the scenes to make sure everyday goes smoothly, thank you. As parents, it is incredibly daunting to leave your pride and joy with someone else, but it has never felt anything other than right to us. The first time I came to look around, I felt a sense of love, calm and compassion, and that has been evident in ever day since. The best word I can use to describe Hednesford nursery is “home”. Our children are loved, cared for and educated with a real sense of love, and knowing Alice loves to come in everyday has been wonderful. 

We will miss you so much. Alice has flourished, and has truly “bloomed” in her favourite place in the world. Thank you all. You are an amazing team of individuals, who work together to create something incredibly special.

All of the staff are extremely dedicated and passionate about creating a safe 

and nurturing environment. Our daughter has blossomed in so many ways as a result. She is happy and confident, and because of this she loves going to

nursery everyday! We as parents, feel constantly assured and I wouldn't send my daughter anywhere else"

We cannot express enough how grateful we are for the exceptional care and education our children have received at the nursery. From Rose Buds all the way through to Blossoms and

Blooms, the staff across the entire board have consistently gone above and beyond in 

creating a nurturing, creative, and stimulating environment for our little ones.

The learning experience is not confined to the classroom — the staff incorporates a beautiful balance of indoor and outdoor activities, encouraging exploration and creativity. Our 

children have loved trips to the local nature reserve to observe the ducks, visit the dentist, 

and even head to the library. These activities provide valuable hands-on experiences that foster curiosity and learning.

What really stands out is the level of care and engagement from the staff. It’s clear they truly get to know each child and take the time to share what they’ve been up to when they’re at 

home. We also appreciate how the nursery invites parents to join in on learning sessions, 

from math activities to outdoor learning, which allows us to witness firsthand the incredible work being done.

If any issues arise, the nursery adheres to their policies and resolves them promptly and professionally.

Additionally, Margo the dog has been such an amazing addition to the nursery, bringing so 

much joy to the children. She lights up the day and is adored by all.

Finally, the learning journals are a wonderful way to stay connected to our children's 

journeys. They are regularly updated with photos, videos, and words that showcase what our little ones have been experiencing throughout the week.

We feel incredibly proud to have our children attend this nursery, and we truly believe it's one of the best in terms of the care, education, and overall experience they provide.

Choosing Hednesford Nursery School was one of our best decisions we’ve made for our son. He has settled in so well in Blooms class and is absolutely thriving. He comes home excited to share what he’s learned and to show us his new skills. 

His love for learning has truly blossomed, and he is eager to attend each day. The environment is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the communication with parents is excellent – working together really is at the heart of everything they do. 

All of the staff are so supportive, providing a nurturing atmosphere and exciting opportunities that inspire confidence, curiosity, and a real joy for learning. I cannot thank the staff enough for giving our son the opportunity to show his true potential.
