Hednesford Nursery School Remembers...

‘I wear a little poppy,
As red as red can be,
To show that I remember,
Those who fought for me.

During our remembrance reflection, Blooms children observed their minutes silence, and took part in a number of activities to support their understanding of why we wear a poppy- “Where soldiers died, poppy’s grew”, JP.

We were visited by some very special guests, veterans from the Hednesford branch of the Staffordshire Regimental Association who talked about their uniform, their medals and the standard that is lowered when the silence is being observed. They also contributed to our waterfall of poppies that will be displayed in our classroom.

We’d like to thank them all for visiting, and let them know that…….Hednesford Nursery School remembers.
