Bonfire Night at Our Nursery!

Blooms children engaged in a variety of activities to mark Bonfire night yesterday. We discussed the dangers involved with fire and fireworks, learning how to keep ourselves safe.

Chiffon scarves were used to interpret our expressions of fireworks in the night sky. We joined in dancing to the song ‘Fireworks’ and learned Makaton signs with the singing hands ladies. As we continued our learning outside we foraged for sticks to create our own safe sparkler.

To conclude our session, Blooms children busied themselves in constructing a ‘bonfire’ which we all sat around and sampled some toast and hot chocolate for snack. “This is the best day ever!”, what a review.
