Tuesday 7 January 2025 We Are Seeking Hygge Early Years Accreditation! We’re so excited to tell you that over the next year Hednesford Nursery School will begin a brand new journey as we study for the Hygge in Early Years Accreditation.Hygge is the Danish approach to life that focuses on having a happier and more simple life. Using elements of warmth, cosiness and nature to make the most of every day of the year. As we move through the training we will learn about changes we can make to our learning environments, outdoor provision and daily rhythm to bring in more calmness.A big part of our training will also look at supporting the wellbeing of the nursery team and the children. We will gain an understanding of how we can promote more self care and some activities we can try to connect with nature.As we progress with this journey we will keep you informed of the changes we’re making. Tuesday 22 October 2024 Our First Stay & Play Session! Blossoms had a lovely day welcoming their family members into nursery for our first play and stay session of the academic year. The children were proud to show off their nursery environment where they shared stories, explored our play dough station, engaged in imaginative play within our small world and we even looked for birds as we climbed up to our bird watch area.

Monday 19 February 2024 Number Open Day @ Hednesford Nursery! In recognition of NSPCC number day we proudly hosted an open session filled with song, rhyme, activities and games to showcase how we teach mathematics at Hednesford Nursery School. We welcomed family and friends into our provision to join us for the morning, and were overwhelmed by the wonderful feedback from all that attended.
